Born in York, Jack Thomson a dance-media artist. Performance, choreography, film and photography all inform his work.
Jack is intrigued with the body in motion. This is a part of his own investigations as a performer. Rooting himself in this physical discovery, enables him to establish a physicality and choreographic perspective when working with images and films.
His strength lies in his intuition and sensitivity to images and complex relationships. His process can often range between traditional and experimental whilst maintaining the desire to unearth the deeper expressions of the body.
Jack often negotiates many spheres and hopes to continue to do so. One of the things that keeps him inspired is allowing himself to learn about and be a part of various forms.
